IIzapa Stela 5 (also known as the “Tree of Life” stone) is a 1½ ton large, carved stela stone found in the ancient Mesoamerican site of Izapa, Chiapas, Mexico (along the present-day Guatemalan border). These stela stones date from roughly 300 BC to 50 BC, although some argue for dates as late as 250 AD. Like much of Izapan monumental sculpture, the subject matter of Stela 5 is considered religious in nature and is believed by some LDS scholars and archeologists to be a depiction of the ancient prophet Lehi’s dream of the tree of life. While this theory is unproven, it does add to the growing debate concerning the location of the ancient sites of the Book of Mormon. These challenge coins have great personal value to both men and women of every age. Fits perfectly with optional coin capsule/case.

Other symbolic design elements are also used to encourage thoughtful pondering.
